Even in the Crosstrek, merging on the highway CAN be a chore especially when compared to the zippy turbo in the OBW.Įdit: I see some others complaining about some relatively known issues. We also have a 23 Crosstrek sport, and the 180hp engine feels peppy in that car but I can’t imagine it trying to move the bigger Outback. I highly suggest going with a turbo model. Overall I am very happy with the purchase, favorite vehicle I have owned. Same experience with the Hard materials in the cargo area. It doesn’t bother me that much but right where the buckle constantly rubs against the plastic is white with scratches that don’t come out. My only complaint about the interior quality is that the harder surfaces such as the pillars where the seatbelts rests, scratch very easily. The interior is very durable and very comfortable. I can tell you that this is the easiest car I have every owned when it comes to cleaning up after the dogs, which I usually do after every trip. Of course I have the seats down but they still manage to get mud and water everywhere. I have a 22 Wilderness and both my labs are in the vehicle regularly. I should be getting the car by mid July so that's good. It's a little annoying since the 2024 is priced about 2K more and the interest rates are slightly higher.

Do you recommend I purchase that now at the dealer or take care of it later through another supplier.Īfter putting down a deposit March 31st, I asked the Dealer for an update and he said the car was built and heading to Ontario first which is good, however, I was also told that Subaru had apparently cut off 2023 production so I would be getting a 2024 instead. I probably don't need any accessories now but a trailer hitch and roof storage is probably going to be a need in the next year or so. I am going to do some research into Winter tires so if you all have any that you recommend, please let me know. Wait times are approx 3-4 months but I do hope to get it sometime in the summer. I like the look of this trim and the fact that it comes with durable seats and floor/trunk mats makes sense for me since I do have a large dog and a small child. I just put a deposit down on a 2023 Outback Onyx Edition. Anyone out there with a small family that's recently purchased this vehicle? What are your thoughts? However financially this is a big decision and obviously I don't want to purchase a vehicle with numerous windshield and electronics problems. I do live a few hours north of Vancouver so snow on the ground is common and I dont want to have to worry about driving in deeper snow.

My other main reason for wanting this vehicle are the safety features and the full time AWD. Being able to easily get something to put on the roof for storage is appealing. I do like the potential future flexibility of the vehicle, especially if we have another kid. Me and my wife have a baby and a large dog, 80 lbs. Been reading some of the comments and I am second guessing a bit now. I've been considering buying a 2023 Outback, Touring or Onyx edition here in Canada.
